If you sell a product to anyone in the United States, you have specific Product Safety requirements even if you are just reselling something designed or manufactured by someone else. The Consumer Product Safety Commission dictates some requirements and is called upon whenever someone is hurt by a consumer product. Make this part of your planning and development and you will have an easier time defending yourself in case of any problems.
