Lt. Ralph McDuffie, commander of the Lake County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, will give us tips on how to have a 'Survival Mindset' when dealing with an active gunman. Whether in a business setting or out with the family, these tips from a trained professional are invaluable as they could potentially save your life.

About Lt. Ralph McDuffie: Ralph is currently assigned to the Emergency Management Bureau of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Florida. Among his duties as the agency Emergency Management Coordinator and County Emergency Operations Center Operations Section Chief, he is also assigned the responsibility of the command of the Sheriff’s SWAT Team since 2008. He has been employed by the Sheriff of Lake County since 1994 and assigned to SWAT since 1995. His Law Enforcement experiences dates to 1987 while in the USAF as a Military working explosive dog handler. He has taught since 1998 many training seminars for the Lake Technical Institute as a part time teacher for Lake County School Board. He is also employed by National Tactical Officers Association as a national instructor in training management and risk mitigation, incident command and SWAT Command. He is also an instructor for Florida SWAT Association.
Every Quarter, the Lake Young Professionals group hosts an informative Luncheon with a Guest Speaker. Although the Lake Young Professionals is a group of local business leaders between the ages of 21-40, this Luncheon is open to all ages!Tell a Friend
