A young nun, Maria, is sent to be the governess for the seven children of a widowed Austrian naval officer. He love for the youngsters, and her joy for life, capture the heart of the stern Captain. Songs include "My Favorite Things", "Do-Re-Mi," and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain".
