The Church was established in 1883, and Ross Tremain was one of the first deacons. The land on which the church was built was donated by John and Annie Donnelly, and it became one of the six Congregational Churches in Florida. "Congregational Churches are sometimes known as the "Church of the Pilgrims" after the small congregations of the early 1600's. The people of these congregations moved from England to the new world in pursuit of religious freedom." The only authority that governs the church is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This authority is taken from the Holy Scriptures as written in the Old and New Testaments."
